Tamil Nadu extends lockdown until July 31, strict curbs to carry on in Chennai, Madurai and bordering places

The Tamil Nadu governing administration has extended the coronavirus lockdown until July 31 amid a regular rise in the COVID-19 numbers in the state. Demanding curbs will continue in Chennai and Madurai till July 6 post which they will be permitted to revert to the peaceful lockdown section.

“Full lockdown will keep on in Chennai, Madurai and surrounding region until July 5. From July 6 to July 31, Chennai will revert to pre June 19 comfortable lockdown. From July 6, Madurai will revert to pre June 24 calm lockdown,” explained the condition governing administration in its order.

The selection on extending the lockdown arrived just hours just after a qualified committee established up to recommend the Tamil Nadu authorities on tackling COVID-19 favoured constraints primarily based on the situation in precise areas and has not proposed extension of the lockdown in power in the point out until Tuesday, a single of its customers said.
