A pair of birdbrained Ryanair pilots ruffled some feathers after one particular was captured on online video working with a rubber chicken to work the plane’s throttle, in accordance to a report.
The footage captured by one of the Boeing 737’s pilots demonstrates the initial officer applying the pink and yellow fake rooster with mouth agape to force the throttle ahead, The Solar reported.
He also is shown squeezing the toy to make it squeak, prompting the crew to burst out laughing as passengers boarded the flight in Birmingham, England, in accordance to the outlet.
The co-pilot also is found sticking his tongue out and crossing his eyes — and one snap exhibits rosary beads strung above the two engine throttles.
The Irish price range airline’s brass have released an investigation into the “unprofessional” cockpit actions, The Sun documented.
“These photos and movie demonstrate crew on the floor in a parked plane with the engines shut down. Even though the photos are unprofessional, the steps in them posed no hazard and security was never compromised,” a Ryanair rep advised the outlet.
“We stimulate our crew to enjoy their work. Even so, we expect them to remain professional at all times and we are investigating the issue more.”
Aviation protection advisor David Gleave also reported the pilots didn’t operate afowl of protection criteria.
“It’s a enjoyment video which is entertaining and de-stressing the pilots, and probably designed to be shared amongst their close friends, but you could argue it damages the model,” he explained to The Sun.
“There is no danger to the public. In the grand plan of things, I really do not see a great deal mistaken,” Gleave included.
