A man who appeared like he had occur to pray at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Park Slope alternatively walked off with the contents of the assortment box, the church and police explained Saturday.
The “prayerful” suspect waited right until the church was empty to make his go, the Diocese of Brooklyn claimed.
Surveillance video clip demonstrates the alleged sinner carrying a picket assortment box off to the side of the church, kneeling to lower it open and then stuffing the income into his pants pocket before casually heading out on to 9th street.
The theft was identified about 4 p.m. Friday by a Franciscan nun who was sanitizing the pews, the Diocese claimed. She did not know how a lot cash was stolen.
